QUESTIONS

I only have 3 people in my bridal party, is this something you can accomodate?

I can provide my services for 1-3 people on location, but the minimum package price will still apply. This allows me to turn away all other work enquiries for your date and minimise loss of earnings.

Which areas do you cover?

I am based in Inverurie, so I mainly work at venues in my area such as Logie Country House, Meldrum House, Thainstone House, Pittodrie House, Barn at Barra Castle and Cluny Castle. I also work regularly in wider Aberdeen & shire at venues such as Maryculter House, the Marcliffe, Drumtochty Castle & several others.

For further afield outwith a 1 hour radius, or other areas of Scotland or the UK I may be available, but accommodation & a travel supplement is generally required. I am happy to consider work in London, or overseas destinations if its logistically possible, just ask!

When do Bridal Previews generally take place?

It’s preferable to have your Bridal Preview as close to your wedding date as possible. This means the look we create will be accurate and all products used will likely still be available. Having a preview a year in advance may mean your appearance changes, or I have since replaced products, lashes or techniques by the time the day comes.

Can I bring my bridal party to my Preview?

Unfortunately we do not have capacity at the studio to accommodate groups for bridal previews, however if you’d like to bring a guest, please do let me know.

What do you need on a wedding morning to set up?

I require a cleared space, near a natural source of light. A large table is necessary, but unless an adjustable barstool is available I will bring my own chair. Please ensure that the room I will be working in is air conditioned; applications can be seriously hindered if there is poor ventilation and too much heat, especially in summer.

If I cancel my wedding, is my booking fee refundable?

As per terms & conditions, booking fees are non refundable in every set of circumstances. While deductible from your final balance, the booking fee allows me to turn away other work for the date and covers my time administering the booking, answering emails, and ultimately loss of earnings in the event of cancellation. Please do not request for exceptions to be made, as it wont be possible.

What time do you arrive on the day?

This completely depends on your party number and ceremony time, but be assured I am very disciplined with timings, work efficiently, and allow plenty time for getting ready, touch ups and photos

Do I need after ceremony touch ups?

It’s a service I do offer if the client is worried about being emotional during the vows, but its not always necessary. I would however, recommend this for summer brides where heat damage may be playing on your mind!

I have rosacea, are you experienced working with skin conditions?

Yes, I am fully competent working with a variety of skin conditions, be assured you are in good hands..

Why is Bridal Makeup priced as a day package and not per head?

I provide a luxury service where I commit myself entirely to your day. I don’t take any other bookings the day of your wedding, and the package rate reflects what I may earn working at my studio doing hourly appointments or lessons. It also factors in prep time the day prior, after, travel time, fuel and correspondence time. I also remain onsite with you til you are dressed and provide touch ups for everyone prior to the ceremony.

However, if you’d prefer to travel to me at the studio, this is charged at a ‘per person’ rate as I don’t have the same expenditures and time allocation as mentioned above, so can accept other bookings on the day.

Do you bring an assistant with you on the day?

I may, or may not have an assistant on the day. It depends on party size and ceremony time. Typically I can accommodate 8 people on a wedding morning as a guide.

Are Bridal Previews free?

Bridal Previews are charged separately to your ‘on the day’ package, and cost £85. They are usually for the bride only, but if other party members wish to have a preview I will do my best to accommodate them. Plenty time is always allocated to allow for consultation and changes to be made.
